... the original retreat of kings and hermit monks.
Mănăstirea Sinaia
Sinaia's Monastery was founded by Mihai Cantacuzino in 1682 after a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
There are two churches: Biserica Veche (Old Church), dating from 1695, and Biserica Mare (Great Church), built in 1846.
The large mausoleum in the forecourt houses the body of Tache Ionescu, a Romanian fin-de-siécle diplomat.
Castelul Peleş
The Peleş Castle was built to order between 1874 an 1883 for Romania's first modern king, Carol I, who used it as his summer residence.
It is an extraordinary Germanic, neo-Renaissance construction design by the Viennese architect Wilhelm Doderer.
This smaller complex in the grounds of the castle was the preferred mountain retreat of Queen Marie, the English wife os Carol's successor, King Ferdinand.
It is worthy spending a warm moorning in such a place, just be wondered and amazed with Mother Nature and the imagination of the Human race.
... who I miss so much.
(I went to Sighişoara and saw these beautiful purple flowers just lying peacefully and I remembered you)
I HAVE studied many times
The marble which was chiseled for me—
A boat with a furled sail at rest in a harbor.
In truth it pictures not my destination
But my life.
For love was offered me and I shrank from its disillusionment;
Sorrow knocked at my door, but I was afraid;
Ambition called to me, but I dreaded the chances.
Yet all the while I hungered for meaning in my life.
And now I know that we must lift the sail
And catch the winds of destiny
Wherever they drive the boat.
To put meaning in one’s life may end in madness,
But life without meaning is the torture
Of restlessness and vague desire—
It is a boat longing for the sea and yet afraid.

Romanians have this saying about their Country:
.
This Country is so beautiful, but to bad is INHABITED!
.
.
And with such words I rest my case...
